I recently found a diary that was written by my Great Uncle Daniel Sampson Lake. The diary was written in 1874. Daniel was lost at sea in 1880 at the age of 25. Daniel lived in Pleasantville, NJ.
I will be posting the entries from his diary each day. This will give you a look into the daily life of a young man in the year 1874.
